Toeplates
I changed the steering rack on my son's Mini as it had play in one of the inner track rods. I then tried to find someone who could do wheel alignment on the 12" wheels. A few years back I discovered that no one could align 10" wheels so I had to do it my self the old fashioned way with string. At the time I researched toe plates but they were over £75 for a set, so I thought about making some.
With this in mind I'd collected some aluminium T section and some aluminium plate, I'd just not got aroind to making them. So as I needed some I set about making them.
I cut four 100mm lengths of the T section and two 400mm x 250mm plates these were cleaned up and the cut edges straightened and the corners rounded off. I used the manufacturers side for mounting on the T section which was drilledand tapped to attach the plates.
I splashed out on a couple of new matching tape measures to use with the toeplates.
